When you’re towing on the highway and a semi blasts past you, sway can get nerve-racking fast. The Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution uses steel-on-steel friction between its rigid L-brackets and spring bars to limit that side-to-side motion. The built-in sway control reacts automatically, helping keep your trailer steady and in line so you can focus on the drive instead of fighting the steering wheel.
If the rear of your rig sags when hooked up, it can throw off your handling and braking. This system applies leverage through its round spring bars to spread weight evenly across all the axles. With a gross towing weight of 12,000 lbs and tongue weight range from 800 to 1,200 lbs, it creates a controlled, level setup that feels planted and predictable on the road.
Dialing in the right height and angle is simple with the included 6-hole shank. You get up to 6.5" of rise or 2.75" of drop, so it’s easy to match your trailer’s coupler height. The 2-5/16" hitch ball comes pre-installed and torqued to spec from the factory, which saves time and gets you ready to tow right away.
The clamp-on L-brackets attach along the trailer frame without drilling, making installation cleaner and helping prevent frame damage. They hold the spring bars firmly in place with no lift chains to rattle or wear. The entire assembly is made from powder-coated steel, giving it durability and corrosion resistance for the long haul.
The system includes the head assembly, adjustable shank, pre-installed 2-5/16" ball, spring bars, sway control L-brackets, and all necessary hardware. This was shipped to me literally falling out of the box. The bars were sticking out of every corner and scraped up, The box was ripped open and in shambles. The inside of the box was completely visible and nothing was bagged or boxed inside, just loose in there dangling around

The item was shipped but was lacking all of the pieces and parts needed for use. etrailer was excellent trying to locate the missing items but did not have them in stock. Return was easy but they could package them better for shipping.
Product arrived in large receiver hitch sized box. Inside was packing paper, to take up space, and the original box the weight distributing hitch had come in. The original box looked like it had been dropped off a loading dock 3 or 4 times before being put in larger box. Large box had no damage, what so ever. All parts were loose in the bottom where they'd come out of the damaged box. Fortunately, all parts were there. In summary, I got what I ordered fairly quick, but sturdier packaging would be nice.I will order from etrailer again.
Was a little confusing putting all together. A step by step video actually installing would work amazing. Other then that it work amazingly.

Hey Erin. That doesn't look good at all. I am going to get on this and get this taken care of for you.
I am very happy with the product, but more care or thought needs to go into the shipping process. The cardboard box fell completely apart and the delivery guy just left it in a pile on the sidewalk. Only a few small nuts were missing and I had them in my shop. Nothing important was missing.
Purchased to use with new camper we purchased. Received yesterday and assembled it. Looks great, just waiting to pick up camper to complete installation.
So far so good. Brieann C was a great help. I get to install this new hitch next weekend to pull my new travel trailer. Box had one hole in it but all the parts were there. Also a great price!
Well built and helps distribute weight to front wheels for better traction on steep gravel roads in the mountains. It also stabilizes the trailer on rough uneven roads at higher speeds.
